Password Protected
To enable the parental control configuration, press the "Password Protected" button
and enter the parental control password in the "Enter Password" window.
Enable parental control
If this option is enabled, all the web pages requested by the user while navigating in the
Internet are scanned on the basis of the role assigned to the registered user in the
parental control function. Requested web pages are blocked if they have been classified
as prohibited within the assigned role.
Note
When parental control is enabled, standard users of the computer who have not been
assigned a role when parental control was configured are assigned the role of child. You
can change the role of the standard user.
After installation, child, young person and adult user roles are created. The time
restriction on Internet usage is disabled for preconfigured roles.
User selection
List of user roles
The list shows all added users with the roles assigned to them. When a user is added, the
program assigns the role of child by default. With a mouse click on the displayed role you
can switch to another role.
User
The list contains all users in the system.
Add
The button can be used to add the selected user to the list of protected users.
Delete
The button deletes a selected entry from the list.
Note
The standard user cannot be deleted.
Roles
List
The list shows all added roles. By double-clicking on a displayed role you can open the
dialog for defining the role.
Input box
In this field you enter the name of the role that you want to add to the user roles.
Change
The "Edit" button can be used to configure the selected role. A dialog box appears in
which you can define prohibited and permitted URLs for the role and selected prohibited
web content by category.
Add
With this button you can add the role entered in the input box to the list of available
roles.
Delete
The button deletes a highlighted role from the list.
